EXECUTIVE
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S ASSISTANT
The Executive Director’s Assistant will assist the Executive Director in overseeing committee organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the committee and work with all departments, assisting the Executive Director in both creative and administrative roles. Strong communication and organisation skills are crucial for the position. A diverse range of experience and an eagerness to complete a variety of tasks is useful.
SUSTAINABILITY & SAFETY ADVISOR
The Sustainability Advisor will work with all of the directors to shepherd and further DONT WALK’s sustainability and safety goals. They will assist committee members across teams in sourcing sustainable and recycled materials, create a sustainability integration plan that integrates team-specific goals for each department, and write a yearly sustainability letter to be used for promotional material and as a reference point for press. They will also research and negotiate sustainable vendor, decor, and production alternatives for events. They will create a safety integration plan that integrates team-specific goals for each department, and write a yearly safety letter to be used for promotional material and as a reference point for press.
ALUMNI LIAISON
The Alumni Liaison is the main point of contact between current DONT WALK committee members and alumni. They will communicate with previous members and help organise alumni events. The Alumni Liaison will need to be able to think of innovative ways to build relations with alumni to create meaningful impact and connect 25 years of DONT WALK committees. This candidate must have excellent communication and organisational skills.
HEAD OF CHARITY & FUNDRAISING
The Head of Charity & Fundraising will research and help to choose which charities DONT WALK will support in addition to acting as the main point of contact for the charitable representatives. The role will involve spreading awareness of the charities to both the committee and the public and organizing several fundraising initiatives and charitable projects throughout the year. Applicants should be willing to come up with new and inventive ways of supporting our charities in addition to financial donations. Strong communication skills are required to represent DONT WALK and maintain a professional relationship with our chosen charities.
EVENTS
EVENTS DIRECTOR'S ASSISTANT
The Events Director's Assistant will be working in tandem with the Events Director to put together events such as the launch, our Vic nights, and socials and will also assist with the planning and execution of our show. Additionally, this role will frequently require you to draft and respond to emails on behalf of the Events Team. Strong organisational and communication skills are crucial for this position. It is also beneficial for the candidate to have fresh ideas for creating multiple DONT WALK events.
HEAD OF PRODUCTION
The Head of Production will work with the Events Director to generate the designs and layouts for all DONT WALK events. This entails lighting, stage and sound design amongst other production requirements. Strong organisational skills are crucial for this position and applicants are encouraged to think outside the box and have creative ideas.
HEAD OF LOGISTICS
The Head of Logistics will work in tandem with the Events Director to take responsibility for the logistical requirements of our events: principally the launch and our show. This role entails organising food vendors, transportation, security, first aid, and other essential elements of our events. This candidate must have excellent organisational and communication skills and must be comfortable working under pressure.

FINANCE & SPONSORSHIP
FINANCE & SPONSORSHIP DIRECTOR'S ASSISTANT
The Finance & Sponsorship Director's Assistant will work closely with the Finance & Sponsorship Director to organize and structure the show’s budget and sponsors for the year. They will be responsible for helping the Finance & Sponsorship Director oversee the Sponsorship Team, assisting the Head of Finance with invoices and accounting, and working with the rest of the team to secure sponsors. They must be innovative with their ideas for future sponsors and have excellent communication skills.
HEAD OF FINANCE
The Head of Finance will be responsible for the invoices, balance sheets, and accounting for the organization. They will work closely with the Finance & Sponsorship Director to manage DONT WALK’s charity tax status and funds. The Head of Finance must work with the Events Team to help with budgeting and minimizing costs. This individual must have strong leadership skills and dedication to work with the Sponsorship Team on innovative cost-saving sponsorship ideas.
SPONSORSHIP TEAM
The Sponsorship Team is responsible for securing new, exciting sponsors while managing existing partnerships. Members of the Sponsorship Team must work with sponsors to create mutually beneficial relationships. The Sponsorship Team will work to obtain a wide range of products and donations for the show, goodie bags and other events throughout the year. Sponsorship Team members must also brainstorm ways to maximize our charitable donation through working with other organizations in St Andrews and internationally. Applicants must have good communication skills and be able to maintain relationships with sponsors. Previous connections are not necessary, but helpful.
COMMUNICATIONS
COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR'S ASSISTANT
The Communications Director's Assistant will aid the Communications Director in their work with the Communications Team. The role will include assisting in the execution of an effective marketing strategy, managing social media and press, and organizing promotional materials and products. Applicants should have excellent writing and communication skills, as well as experience in PR and social media. Experience in graphic design will also be helpful.
HEAD OF DONT WRITE
The Head of DONT WRITE’s main responsibility will be leading the development of DONT WALK's publication. The role will involve brainstorming content and article ideas, reaching out to possible contributors, organizing archives, and overseeing the design of the publication. In addition, they will aid the Communications Director in performing various editorial based tasks. Applicants must have excellent writing, communication and organizational skills, previous publication experience and a strong understanding of and ability to convey the DONT WALK brand. Optional: attach a portfolio of writing samples.
DONT WRITE ASSISTANT
The DONT WRITE Assistant will work alongside the Head of DONT WRITE in developing the publication, in addition to performing various editorial based tasks. Applicants must have excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills. In addition, previous publication experience and a strong understanding of and ability to convey the DONT WALK brand is a must. Optional: attach a portfolio of writing samples.
DIGITAL MEDIA TEAM
The Digital Media Team will work closely with the Communications Director to create marketing materials in line with the creative vision and help establish a strong and cohesive online presence. Positions are available for graphic designers and videographers. Although it would be helpful if applicants are proficient in design software, artistic ability is valued above all else. There will be opportunities to develop skills throughout the year, so any level of experience is welcome, however, applicants should be able to work quickly and creatively to meet short deadlines. A portfolio is required. Please submit any work that demonstrates your skills, style, and versatility.
WEB DEVELOPER
The Website Developer will work closely with the Communications Director to create a website in line with the creative vision and DONT WALK brand. Applicants must be proficient in web design along with being able to work quickly and creatively to meet short deadlines. The Graphic Designer and Website Developer can be separate roles or combined into one based on applicant's skills. Portfolio required.
HEAD OF PRESS
The Head of Press will work with the Communications Director to coordinate articles and major press releases from student publications throughout the year. They will also reach out to national and international publications and blogs to arrange features and coverage for the show and for the organization more generally. Applicants should have excellent writing and communication skills and a strong understanding of and ability to convey the DONT WALK brand.
PRESS ASSISTANT
The Press Assistant will aid the Head of Press in their work. They will assist in coordinating articles and major press releases from student publications throughout the year. They should be confident in reaching out to national and international publications to assist the Head of Press in increasing coverage of DONT WALK. Applicants should have excellent writing and communication skills.
CREATIVE
CREATIVE DIRECTOR'S ASSISTANT
The Creative Director's Assistant will work closely with the Creative Director to ensure the vision of DONT WALK 2026 is fully realised. They will assist in leading and directing the design and production of visual, audio, and other media output, and speak closely with the Digital Media and Communications Teams to ensure the release of frequent content that is coherent with the creative vision. Together with the Creative Director, they will prepare material for internal use including research, data input, tracking the Creative Team's finances and providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth-running of the entire operation. The Creative Director's Assistant will be present and heard at photoshoots, video shoots and other creative meetings. Applicants will need to have strong communication and organisational skills, knowledge of the fashion industry and a creative eye.
HEAD OF FASHION
The Head of Fashion will be the ultimate authority on DONT WALK’s relationships with its contributing designers. They will be responsible for securing collections for photoshoots, the launch and the show. The Head of Fashion will work closely with the Creative Director, the Head of DONT WEAR and the In-House Designer. It is of the utmost importance that the Head of Fashion maintains positive and professional relationships with contributing designers. They are responsible for ensuring that contributing designers' clothing is maintained in good condition and returned to designers in a timely manner. Good organisational, communication and time management skills are a must. They are responsible for ensuring that contributing designers' clothing is maintained in good condition and returned to designers in a timely manner. FASHION ASSISTANT
The Fashion Assistant will aid the Head of Fashion in any way necessary. This includes communicating with designers, organising shipments of clothing, and assisting with DONT WALK shoots, model fittings, and other events. This position requires good organisational skills, an interest in fashion, and a dedicated work ethic. Previous experience and connections are helpful, but not necessary. The Fashion Team is responsible for acquiring collections for photoshoots, the launch and the show. Applicants must be knowledgeable of the fashion industry and have a creative eye. Additionally, they should be comfortable in reaching out to designers over the summer and throughout the academic year in an organised and professional manner. HEAD OF MUSIC PRODUCTION
The Head of Music Production will work closely with the Creative Director in creating the soundtrack for the show and other events throughout the year. This role will communicate regularly with the Choreography Team and models to create music that aligns with the creative vision. Applicants must have a keen ear for music, with an ability to tailor the music to our creative concept. Additionally, the Music Production Team will play a key role in curating and playing at DONT WALK Vic nights, the launch and other events leading up to the show. They will lead the Front of House Team in brainstorming inventive and cost-effective ideas to transform our spaces and to enhance guest experience. The Front of House Assistant will work creatively to represent the show’s theme throughout the year at various venues. Applicants must have a creative outlook and strong attention to detail, with the ability to bring the vision to life.

The Head of Photography will work closely with the Creative Director, along with the Photography Team, to produce visual content in the lead up to and for the show including model shoots and committee profile pictures. This role will manage the Photography Team and will also cover photography at our Vic nights, launch and other events throughout the year. The Head of Choreography will work throughout the year with our models to choreograph the walks for the launch and the show alongside any other events, such as video shoots that require choreography. Additionally, the Choreography Team will organise and run all rehearsals throughout the year and act as the vital link between the models and committee. Applicants should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with the Events and Creative Director in designing the stage and music mix for the show. Previous dance experience is useful.

The Makeup Artist will work with the Creative Director and models throughout the year at photoshoots, the launch and the show to ensure that the makeup aligns with the creative concept. Applicants should be willing to follow directions but also collaborate with each other and exhibit a creative flare to develop new ideas to present to the Creative Team. Experience is beneficial. HEAD OF DONT WEAR
DONT WEAR seeks to provide young designers a platform for showcasing their work and allows the public to shop looks from both the runway and from a curated selection of up and coming designers. The Head of DONT WEAR will be responsible for leading the development of our online shop and organizing our St Andrews pop-up shops. This role will work on curating items to sell on our online platform, communicating with contributing designers, ensuring the safe delivery and return of items from the online shop and managing the website. Applicants should have knowledge of the fashion industry and a creative eye, as well as communication and organizational skills. Experience with web design and development is helpful, but not required.

The In House Designer will be in charge of designing and sourcing committee merchandise (such as hoodies and DONT WALK designed items). They will also be expected to design a collection to be showcased in the show. This person will work closely with the Creative Director, Head of Fashion, and Executive Director. They will also have the option to collaborate with the Head of DONT WEAR.
